Hi there. Would you mind sharing your serial numbers? I am keeping a log of all the Einsteins still in existence and where they are located. Not seen any recently outside the UK!

Cheers

Mike.
My serial number is 6011938, and it's a working unmodified TC-01.

Re: Einstein as a cross-development platform

Hi, I'm doing some research into the use of the Einstein 8-bit machines as a cross-development platform for the Spectrum, CPC, etc back in the day, with a view to possibly constructing a museum exhibit to demonstrate how this was done. I've seen mention of the Einstein being used for this purpose i...

Re: Silicon Disc

Hi Tony, 1986 eh? This looks very similar to the ones we used at Software Creations in Manchester. We used Tatungs as dev machines for edit and assembly. The ram drive was a godsend. I'm currently using a Tatung Einstein in a similar capacity archiving old source disks from back then, and recreating...

Re: Welcome!

Hi Dean, a warm welcome to the forum. Fascinating to hear that you used an Einstein to develop code for the Amstrad/Spectrum. I thought 'breakintoprogram' sounded familiar, and I realise I've previously used your website (www.breakintoprogram.co.uk) for Z80 opcode reference and enjoyed reading your...

Re: Welcome!

Welcome to the group/forum. We need more EInstein enthusiasts, especially ones who had personal experience of them in the 80s. Can you remember which games you developed on it? Would be a good nostalgia trip! :D Mike. Thanks for the warm welcome. The Spectrum/CPC versions of Sly Spy and Gauntlet II...

Re: Welcome!

Hi Thank you for letting me join your forum. I do a fair amount on the Internet under the pseudonym 'breakintoprogram'. This includes some computer restorations, software archiving, coding in Z80, and developing new hardware. I used Tatung Einstein's for a few years as a games developer in the North...
