Thanks for the welcome. I think I've finally found the errant '74 that was buggering up the ADC interrupt. Will try a game or two after a fresh brew.

The ADC had had a reprieve. Turned out to be I051a - the 74LS74 that latches the ADC Mask bit. I was watching Q when nRESET toggled the nPR pin and Q would set then immediately clear. A logic tester verified my findings. I found a similar vintage Nat Semi part and everything is now working properly....

As far as I could see, the TC-01 was shipped for YUV output and the monitor should have worked straight away using the original monitor cable. When I configure for RGB by flipping the links, the monitor works as expected. I will break out the scope and have another look at the monitor at the weekend.
