MAME currently supports MOS versions 1.2 and 1.21 for the TC-01, and 2.1 for the 256.
I believe there are other versions out there, specifically a 1.1 and maybe 1.0. Could owners check which version their machines have installed, and provide a ROM dump of any not already dumped. Thanks.

Are you referring to the Einstein emulation, or MAME in general? I only use Windows and have never known MAME to hang.

The Einstein is surprisingly only emulated in MAME. The TC01 has been emulated for many years but was not until very recently that the ROM from an Einstein 256 was dumped, and made available to emulate. Here are some screenshots from the current Einstein 256 emulation: 0001.png 0012.png 0009.png
