I haven't got my 256 yet (it's in the UK), but wondered why? I see from the manual there is no power switch. Do you have an original power supply? Is there no on/off there? Certainly, the vdp can support it, but not sure if XDOS supports it. Also, whether it can supported by the screen if it's not an official monitor, is anyone's guess.

Thanks for letting me join your community. I just won a slightly yellow-keyed and possibly working/not working Einstein 256 from ebay.

It won't be with me for a month of two, until the pandemic clears and I get to the UK.

Still, exciting times for me.
