I can't use my BBC cable as it has resistors in ... I use my Atom cable which doesn't. I wonder if this makes a difference for you too?
Where did you get that from? I bet mine is the same :(

I made it. IIRC it's the sync line that is the issue. You could temporarily bypass it to check? Just a loop of wire jumpering the resistor would do. If that worked then you could perhaps install a more permanent solution in the form of a switch. I can look in my Atom cable later and check.

I don’t suppose you would fancy making one or two to sell with the SD? retroshack will no longer make tatung cables :(

I dug up a spare beeb SCART from Retrocomputershack, changed the internal jumpers in the TC01, added 5volts to the socket (just spring clipped wires for now) and gave it a go.
I only got a black screen (not a surprise based on earlier posts).
However I do have a HDMI converter box so I thought I would give that a go - it is quite forgiving on signal quality.

Superb picture! I think maybe one column of pixels is being chopped off but I still need to play with the aspect ratio settings etc.

Its just a cheapo upscaler:

I had previously plugged the SCART into a splitter (as it saves wear and tear on the socket) so in the spirit of adventure I tried the Retrocomputershack cable directly in the LCD telly and it works a treat! Correct aspect ratio as well. 8-)

The picture is rather good.

If anyone has tried and not got a picture it may be worth trying multiple TVs?
